What is CATCount? 

CATCount is useful software tool for translation industry professionals. It greatly eases task of accounting of Computer Assisted Translation jobs. 

This application translates complex CAT Scheme into one easy number, in other words — «Computer Assisted Translation Count», or simply a «CAT Count». Additionally, this software provides great features for printing and exporting of a CAT Scheme used in calculation together with original wordcounts, and resulting CATCount. Wordcount analysis logs of Trados Translator's Workbench are processed automatically.  

The very concept of using single number is not new, and has been used extensively by many translation agencies worldwide under various names: leveraged wordcount, weighted wordcount, equivalent wordcount, etc. CATCount, however, gradually quickens and simplifies the process of counting a single CAT number, thus saving translator's time and effort.

While regular distribution of wordcount information distinct categories by CAT Tools (Trados, SDLX, Deja Vu, Star Transit) is useful for analysis in general, it is not very comfortable for accounting. CATCount takes the solution to the problem to the next level by providing easy interface, which can be shared between translation agencies and freelance translators, and within translator teams.

Load previously used CAT schemes, and export detailed count results to HTML document, .DOC or .XLS file.
