International Translation Day
International Translation Day
is celebrated on the 30th of September, the saint's day
of St. Jerome, patron saint of all translators.
This holiday was established in 1953 by FIT (International
Federation of Translators).
Saint Jerome is best known as the translator of the Bible from Greek and
Hebrew into Latin.
